Honey & Lemon Soother

As winter approaches, many of us are starting to sneeze and sniffle as coughs and colds set in.  While there are numerous medications to take for sore throats and colds, why not try this simple but effective immune boosting drink first.

Ingredients
 
  • 2 tbsp manuka honey
  • 1 lemon
  • 1 inch ginger
  • Kettle boiled water
Instructions
  1. Mix hot water, honey, ginger and a good squeeze of lemon in a mug and allow to cool
     
  2. Sip huddled under a cosy blanket and enjoy!

Manuka honey (which is only found in New Zealand) has more healing properties than antibiotics and contains high levels of antioxidant, antiseptic, anti-inflammatory and anti-viral properties.
