A healthier snack perfect for children and adults, this bar is packed with nutrients. Both Almonds and sesame seeds are a good source of fiber, calcium, B vitamins, protein, magnesium, iron and zinc, and are considered heart healthy.
- 2 tbsp Almond Butter
- 1/4 cup Maple Syrup 60ml
- 2 tbsp Coconut Oil
- 1/2 tsp Sea Salt
- 1 cup Ground Almonds 120g
- 3/4 cup Flaked Almonds 75g
- 1/4 cup Sesame Seeds Black or White, 35g
Preheat the oven to 180’C.
In a small saucepan, combine the almond butter, coconut sugar, maple syrup and coconut oil and melt over a gentle heat.
When it is melted and smooth, add in the salt and stir.
Remove from heat and set aside.
Add the sesame seeds and ground & flaked almonds to a large bowl and mix well.
Pour the sugar mixture into the bowl and mix all the ingredients together.
Line a baking tray with parchment paper and press the mixture firmly into the tin, making sure it’s packed very tightly.
Bake at 180’C for 15-20 minutes until golden.
Remove from the tray and allow it to cool completely on a wire rack before cutting into bars.
